Obituary for Elizabeth K. Abramowitch

Elizabeth K. Abramowitch, 97, formerly of Reading, passed away November 11, 2016, in Berks Heim.

Born in Lancaster, she was a daughter of the late John and Rosalia (Roeder) Fuzer.

Her husband, Alex A. Abramowitch, passed away in June of 1984, whom she married in March of 1940.
Elizabeth went to work at an early age and continued to do so into her late 70s. She participated in the war effort by working in an aircraft factory while her husband served overseas during WWII.

Elizabeth and Alex were the owner and operators of Holiday House Restaurant on Center Avenue in Reading for twenty years.

She enjoyed owning her restaurant and feeding people. Both Elizabeth and her husband were always there with a helping hand for both friends and strangers alike. Elizabeth especially loved her husband and family. She also enjoyed reading a good book.

Elizabeth is survived by one daughter, Rosemarie Pachuilo, West Lawn; two grandchildren: Elizabeth A., wife of Eric Tully, Canton, CT; Matthew A. husband of Amy Pachuilo, Reading. She is also survived by three great grandchildren: Logan, Iona, and Owen Pachuilo.


Services will be held Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at 10a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Alleghenyville Cemetery. A viewing will be held Tuesday, November 15, from 6-8p.m. and on Wednesday, November 16 at 9a.m. in the funeral home.
