Obituary for Clarence J. Spangler

Clarence J. Spangler Jr., 91, passed away in the arms of his sister, October 5, 2018 in Spruce Manor.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Clarence J. Sr., and Ella (Kollar) Spangler - O'Leary.

Clarence attended Reading Central Catholic High School.

He was employed as a store clerk for Chiarelli Brothers Music Store, Eckert Brothers Music Store and the Classical Record Shop.

Clarence was a avid music enthusiast and photographer. He enjoyed listening to classical, orchestra, opera, and broadway. He also enjoyed reading, attending many symphonies, hiking, taking walks in the mall, meeting up with his friends and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his sister, Justine M. (Spangler) Coleman, West Reading,. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Kevin P. (Nancy) Coleman, S. Huntington, NY, Sean P. (JoAnn) Coleman, Mohnton, Maureen E. (Chris) Paolini, West Reading, Bridget A. Coleman, West Reading, Kathleen M. (David) Materia, Sinking Spring and Timothy P. (Elise) Coleman, Bernville; cousin, Patricia Kollar and 14 great- grand nieces and nephews.

Clarence was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Thomas L. Coleman.

A Graveside service will be held Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. in Gethsemane Cemetery. A viewing will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Edward J.
