Obituary for Dennis N. Einolf

Dennis N. Einolf
Dennis N. Einolf, 66, passed away June 26, 2017, in his Reinholds residence.

He was the beloved husband of Sam (Mahler) Toffy, with whom he celebrated 3 years of marriage.

Born in Baltimore, MD, he was the son of the late Henry Einolf and Maria (Preston) Einolf, Laurel, MD.

Dennis was a graduate of Calvert Hall High School, Baltimore, MD.

He was a member of St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield.

Dennis was a member of the Army National Guard, where he served in the Military Police.

He was employed by Schaedler Yesco as an Accounts Manager.

Dennis enjoyed hiking, fishing and boating with his wife and beloved Welsh Terrier, Bugs. Dennis was known for his love of turtles and his passion for music and guitar. He was often referred to as the "turtle guy". He had an extensive knowledge of reptiles and amphibians and wouldn't hesitate to boast about how smart he was in those subjects. He was quick witted and never failed to throw a joke at the most random times. He spent many years as an avid soccer referee and to this day would claim he never missed a whistle. His stories could fill a room with laughter and his sense of humor will be greatly missed. If there are any last words he would have wanted to say to everyone they would most definitely be "don't get hit in the head".

In addition to his wife he is survived by his two children, Shaun M., husband of Janet Einolf, Frederick, MD; and Noelle E., wife of Daniel Vilardo, Wyomissing. He is also survived by his sister, Michele Einolf, wife of Ken Grice, Laurel, MD; former wife, Alice Einolf, Wyomissing; and three grandchildren, Connor Einolf, Charlotte Einolf and Ella Vilardo.

Dennis was predeceased by his brother, Michael Einolf.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, July 1, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Ignatius of Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield. A viewing will be held Friday, June 30, 2017 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in honor of Dennis to Turtle Survival Alliance at http://bit.do/TSA_DennisEinolf or donations can be mailed to the headquarters at 1989 Colonial Parkway, Fort Worth, TX 76110 with a memo: In memory of Dennis Einolf.
