Obituary for Patricia A. Restrepo

Patricia A. Restrepo
Patricia A. (Price) Restrepo, 88, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2017, at Columbia Cottage, under their wonderful loving care.

Her beloved husband, Robert P. Restrepo, Sr., died on July 11, 2013, after celebrating their long beautiful marriage that began August 13, 1949.

Born in Merion, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Elizabeth C. (Beck) Price, graduated Mater Misericordia School in Merion and attended Chestnut Hill College, majoring in music.

She was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola Roman Catholic Church, Whitfield after raising her children in the Sacred Heart Parish from 1959.

Patty was a very organized, generous homemaker and hostess, with an outstanding flair for interior designing. She dedicated much of her life to her family, raising six children, all born in the 1950’s. Patty enjoyed being a volunteer, board member, and past president of the Women’s Board at St. Joseph Hospital in 1972. She loved animals, taking trips to Africa. In her younger days she was an avid horse rider, riding in the Devon Horse Show at age 5.

Patty had a passion for music, playing the violin and piano, greatly enjoying the Symphony in Reading, Philadelphia, and Naples, Fl.

She is survived by five children: Robert P., husband of Mary Frances, Columbus, OH; Ronald J., husband of Candace, Houston, TX; Kathryn E., wife of William Jackman, Tabernacle, NJ; James P., husband of Katherine, Wyomissing and Michael J., husband of Sharon, Exeter Township. Also surviving are eighteen grandchildren; thirteen (and counting) great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law, Wendy Restrepo, Tampa, FL.
Patty was predeceased by her son, Dr. William F. Restrepo, and one brother, William F. Price, Jr.

The family thanks Columbia Cottage and Caring Hospice Services for their blessed care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, September 12, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Ignatius Loyola R.C. Church, 2810 St. Alban’s Dr., Sinking Spring, PA 19608. Burial will be at Gethsemane Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday, September 12, 2017, from 8:30 to 10:00 a.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading.
