Obituary for Joseph W. Mangiolardo

Joseph W.  Mangiolardo
Joseph W. Mangiolardo, 93, passed away October 2, 2017, in ManorCare Sinking Spring.

He was the beloved husband of Linda L. (Biehl) Mangiolardo.

Born in Birdsboro, he was the son of the late Antonio and Annuziato (Paruto) Mangiolardo.

Joseph was a United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II.

He was a life member of St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, Reading and served as church usher for 30 years.

Joseph was owner and operator of Charlie's Exxon Service Center, Lincoln Park, for over 37 year until retiring in 1985. He also was a substitute teacher for Berks Vo-Tech, Reading - Muhlenberg Vo-Tech, East Vo-Tech, Oley, Limerick Vo-Tech and Western Technology Studies.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son, Jeffry A. Mangiolardo, Leesport; sister, Nancy Groff, Reifton; and three grandchildren: Ashley M., Amanda M., and Bryan M.; and one great-grandchild: Chloe M.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, October 6, 2017, at 11 a.m. in St. Margaret's Roman Catholic Church, 925 Centre Ave, Reading, PA 19601. Burial will follow at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will be held Thursday, October 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in Kuhn Funeral Home and Crematory, 5153 Kutztown Rd, Temple, PA 19560 and one half hour before Mass in the church.
