Obituary for Rufus L Goodin

Rufus Lee Goodin, 65, of Douglassville, went to see our Lord Jesus, October 17, 2017, of natural causes.

He was the beloved husband of Teresa A. (Pagano) Goodin.

Born in Kentucky, Rufus was the son of the late Thomas J. and Virginia H. (Floyd) Goodin.

Rufus was employed as an engineer for over 40 years, most recently working at PPL and previously with P.E.C.O. Utilities.

He was an avid golfer and was a passionate fan of Michigan University football. He also enjoyed woodworking and yard work but most importantly, he loved spending time with his family and friends.

Rufus was greatly loved and will be dearly missed.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children, Rufus L. Goodin Jr. (Jill), Jackson, MI, and Joseph Goodin, (Julie), Detroit, MI; and two step-children, Christa Kearse, West Reading, and Joseph Kearse, fiance of Janice Yonkin. He is also survived by four siblings; Norma Goodin Cox, Jackson, MI; Sammi Goodin Dalton, Jackson, MI; Thomas Goodin, Horton, MI, and Joan Loring (Michael), Conway, SC; grandchildren, Gabriel Goodin, Riley Goodin, and Grace Ann Kearse; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rufus was predeceased by his sisters, Susan (Goodin) Gibson, Jackson, MI; Lori N. (Goodin) Sercombe, Jackson, MI; brothers, Bruce Goodin, Clark Lake, MI, and James D. Goodin, Flint/Lansing, MI.

A celebration of Rufus's life will be held Saturday, November 4, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. in the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with a visitation one half hour prior in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Rufus's honor may be made to Penn State Cancer Institute, 1249 Cocoa Ave., Suite 115, Hershey, PA 17033. Edward J.
