Donald M. Davis, 85, of West Reading, passed away Saturday, November 4, 2017, in Mifflin Center.

He is survived by his wife Nancy L. (Bodenhorn) Davis, who he married August 1, 1953.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Elmer Malcolm and Melva I. (Beiber) Davis.

Donald was a 1950 graduate of Shillington High School.

He was a member of Lincoln Park United Methodist Church.

Donald was a U.S. Air Force Police veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.

He was employed as a yard marshall at Dana Corp., Reading, for 35 years until his retirement. After his retirement, Donald worked part time for Jesse Pleet, Attorney at Law, as a courier.

Donald was an active member of Reading Company Technical and Historical Society. He was an avid model railroader and railfan.

In addition to his wife, he is also survived by three children: Michael C., husband of Linda Davis, West Wyomissing, Mark J., husband of Susan Davis, Greensboro, NC, and Susan E., wife of Miguel Rodriguez, Havre de Grace, MD. A sister, Marian Gordon, Mohrsville, five grandchildren: Jonathan, Justin, Amanda, Kaitlyn and Daniel, and one great grandchild, Everett, also survive him.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at 4 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Online condolences may be recorded at www.kuhnfuneralhomes.com.
