Obituary for Julia Vicente

Julia Vicente, 87, went to her eternal reward, Sunday, December 10, 2017 in the Reading Hospital and Medical Center.

Born in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Pablo Muñoz and Julia Muñoz -Rodriguez.

She was the beloved wife of the late Israel Vicente Sr, who passed away September 21, 1972.

Julia was a parishioner of St. Catherine of Sienna R. C. Church, Mt. Penn. and was a long time Auxiliary member of the Legion of Mary. She was also a former member of the St. Peter's Sacred Heart Sodality.

She enjoyed sewing, which was a trade that she passed to her loved ones, embroidery and word search puzzles. Julia had a passion for cooking but her true love was spending time with family.

She is survived by her seven children, Israel Jr., husband of Virginia Vicente, Merrick, NY; Carmen Paneto, widow of the late Freido Rodriguez, Perth Amboy, NJ; Milton Vicente, Reading; Jose, husband of Elizabeth Vicente, Womelsdorf; Virginia Vicente, wife of Miguel A. Moll Sr., Reading; Pablo, husband of Julia R. Vicente, Myerstown; and Elizabeth Vicente - Figueroa, wife of Jose L. Figueroa, Long Beach, CA. She is also survived by her sister, Teresa Muñoz, Puerto Rico; seven grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Julia has joined her loving siblings,Tomasa Symoniak, Francisco Muñoz, Delia Muñoz and Mario Muñoz in the loving arms of the Lord.

A viewing will be held Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. in Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave., West Reading with a Rosary Service beginning at 7 p.m.

All are invited to celebrate a Mass of Christian Burial, Thursday, December 14, 2017, at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606 with viewing one hour prior to the service. Burial will be held at Gethsemane Cemetery.
