Dorothy Reber
Dorothy Helen (Poorman) Reber, 91, passed away January 3, 2018, at the Reading Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.

Born January 22, 1926, in Howard, PA, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret Poorman.

Preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Kenneth R. Reber; four brothers and two sisters.

Dorothy was a homemaker who was dedicated to her family; one of the best gifts she gave her children was staying at home to raise them.

She especially loved being with family, playing cards, and baking.

Dorothy is survived by four children: Kenneth, Jr. (Carol) of Pottstown; Richard (Kay) of Albany, GA; Sara of Virginia Beach, VA; and Joann (Daryl) Devich of Exeter. Seven grandchildren: Cindi (Reber) Worrall, Jeff Reber, Rick Reber, Karen (Reber) Smith, Matt Reber, Ken Reber and Robert Devich; nine great-grandchildren and one brother, Fred, in Norfolk, VA, also survive her.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Dorothy’s memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, KS 66675-8517 or Feed the Children, P.O. Box 36 Oklahoma City, OK 73101-0036. Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., West Reading is in charge of arrangements.
