Obituary for James P. Luke

James P. Luke, 70, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018, in his Spring Township residence.

He was the beloved husband of Laureen A. (DeLuca) Luke.

Born in Williamsport, PA, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Martha (Pawlak) Luke.

James earned a Master's degree in Education from Elmira College, NY.

He was a member of St. Ignatius Loyola R. C. Church.

James was employed as a teacher for ten years in New York. He later was employed as the Mid Atlantic Sales Manager at Penske Truck Leasing from 1981 until his retirement in 2013. He was a very dedicated employee.

He was a very loving husband and friend, and huge car enthusiast. Music enriched his life, especially the saxophone which he previously played.

The Luke family would like to especially give thanks to the Eucharistic Ministers of St. Ignatius who lovingly visited him, and the staffs of Visiting Angels and Health Calls Home Health Agency.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by a brother: Joseph, husband of Helen Luke, Williamsport; and a sister, Theresa Luke, Sinking Spring. Many nieces and nephews also survive him.

James was predeceased by one brother: John, husband of Catherine Luke.
