Obituary for Evert R. Hawk

Evert R.  Hawk
Evert R. Hawk, 69, of Wyomissing, passed away June 26, 2018, at the Reading Hospital.

He was the loving husband of Kay L. (Damerell) Hawk.

Born in Toledo, OH, he was a son of the late Evert and Catherine (Clinker) Hawk.

He attended Harrisburg Area Community Collage and Penn State University.

Evert was employed by PA Public Utilities Company as a financial analyst for 30 years. After retirement, he volunteered for Every Child Counts in Marsh Harbor, Abaco Island Bahamas for several winters.

He was a member of West Lawn United Methodist Church.

Evert enjoyed sailing on the Chesapeake Bay and traveling with his wife throughout the United States and Canada in their Airstream.

Family was very important to Evert; he adored his grandchildren and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by two children, Evert R. Hawk, II., Fort Meade, MD and Sandra L. Hawk, Lancaster and seven siblings: John, Sandy, Patti, Colleen, DeeDee, Roberta and Cathy. Two grandchildren, Santana and Helana also survive him.

Services will be Monday, July 2, 2018, at 11 a.m. at West Lawn United Methodist Church, 15 Woodside Ave, Reading, PA 19609. Friends may call Monday from 10:30 to 11 a.m. at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Every Child Counts, P.O. Box A.B. 20085 Marsh Harbor, Abaco Bahamas www.everychildcountsabaco.org. Edward J.
