Barbara Ann (Motacki) Brizek, 70, of Spring Twp., passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2018 in Reading Hospital surrounded by her loving family.

She was the beloved companion of George M. Brizek Jr.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Edmund and Bessie (Turrisi) Motacki.

Barbara was a 1965 graduate of Wilson High School.

Prior to staying home to raise her family, she was employed as the manager at Arby's in the Berkshire Mall.

Barbara was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was well known as a fantastic cook and baker, who volunteered countless hours at Hawk Mountain Search and Rescue School. She enjoyed gardening and decorating her home inside and out.

She was a loving spirit, always filled with joy, and a person who touched the hearts of many people. Spending time with her friends and family meant so much to her

In addition to her husband George, Barbara is survived by Her children: Michael Todd Speck , husband of Tiffany Guido, Exeter Twp.; Michele Zurawski, Spring Twp.; SGT Zachary J. Brizek, husband of Jessyca Brizek, Fairbanks, AK; Michael G. Brizek, husband of Lisa Brizek, Chapin, SC; and . LTC Jeffrey J. Brizek, currently serving in France. Seven grandchildren and many cousins also survive her.
