Margaret "Peggy" R. Kovaleski, 80, formerly of Luzerne, PA, passed away August 28, 2018, at Berks Heim.

Born in Wilkes-Barre, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Helen (McManus) Riley.

She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine A., wife of John Lavin, New Providence, PA, and Cheryl, wife of Robert McDonough, Blandon. She had three siblings: Patricia Turner (deceased), Mary Jane Johnson (deceased), and Henry Riley, Luzerne. There are five grandchildren: Kelly, wife of Greg Brooks, Lauryn Evans, Erin, wife of Greg Shertzer, Michelle Evans, and Blaine Lavin, and two great-grandchildren, Jackson Barrow and Cooper Brooks.

Peggy was admired by many for her sense of humor and love for others. Always selfless, she was constantly there for anyone who needed her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Berks Heim for their loving care for Peggy.

A prayer service will be held Thursday, September, 6, 2018, at 7 p.m. at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Friends may call Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m. Burial will be held Friday, September 7, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Park, 4115 Memorial Hwy. Dallas, PA.
