Obituary for Charles F. Wenrich

Charles F. "Chas" Wenrich, 76, passed away November 7, 2018, in his Oley Township residence surrounded by his loved ones.

He was the beloved husband of Cecelia A. (Clemente) Wenrich.

Born in Reading, he was the son of the late Robert and Charlotte (Noll) Wenrich.

He was a 1960 graduate of Central Catholic High School, Reading.

Chas was a 55 year member of St. Catharine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, Mt. Penn, where he was in the first class of Eucharistic Ministers.

He served in the U.S. Army Reserves.

Chas was the president of Wenrich Associates Inc.

He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #793, former President and Head Coach of Penn Alsace Football Association, member of PA Voters Hall of Fame, Certified Insurance Counselor, and former Insurance Man of the Year.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by three children, Teresa M., wife of Christopher Kutz, Reading; Jeffrey C., husband of Kacey Wenrich, Reading; and Robin A., wife of William Hess, Reading. He is also survived by eight siblings, Richard, husband of Dorinda Wenrich, Anchorage, Alaska; Robert Wenrich Jr., Birdsboro; James Wenrich, Spring Township; Thomas Wenrich, Pittsburgh, PA; Roberta Corgnati, Tampa, FL; Mary, wife of Thomas Zlogar, West Lawn; Charlotte Bower, West Lawn; and Anne, wife of David Brueck, Sinking Spring;eight grandchildren, Taylor Kutz, Colby Kutz, Cooper Kutz, Mason Wenrich, Stella Blue Wenrich, Mia Hess, William Hess, Celia Hess, and many nephews and nieces including the DiBlasi sisters.

Chas was predeceased by his brother, William Wenrich.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, November 12,, 2018 at 11 a.m. in St. Catharine of Siena R.C. Church, 4975 Boyertown Pike, Reading, PA 19606, with burial to follow at Gethsemane Cemetery. Viewing will be held from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the church.
