Lois A. Weitzel, 88, formerly of Muhlenberg Twp., passed away, Sunday, November 18, 2018, in Penn State Health St. Joseph's Hospital.

She was the wife of Paul D. Weitzel who died February 26, 1997.

Born in Reading, she was the daughter of the late Earl I. and Alma L. (Pannabecker) Rothenberger.

Lois was a Reading High School graduate and attended Penn State main campus.

She was employed as an accident assessor for Reading Railroad and Conrail, retiring in 1977.

Lois is survived by a brother in law; Barry C., husband of Carol A. Weitzel; a sister Mildred A., widow of Kenneth Wert; a niece; Sandra E., widow of Richard Dickey; and a great niece, Diedre E. wife of Stephan Bosacco, both of Cape May, NJ.

She was predeceased by one brother, Robert Rothenberger.

A funeral service will be held Monday, November 26, 2018, at 1 p.m., at Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Avenue, West Reading. Burial will follow in Good Shepherd Cemetery.
