Celeste A. (Kushmore) Lawrence, 81, passed away peacefully Sunday, November 25, 2018, at Pottstown Hospital-Tower Health. Born August 10, 1937, in Reading, she was the only daughter of the late Raymond and Mary C. (Hughes) Kushmore. She was married to Robert J. Lawrence, Jr., who passed in 2010.

A 1955 graduate of Reading Central Catholic High School, Celeste earned her college degree from Marjorie Webster Junior College, Silver Springs, MD. Following college she worked for many years at Zeswitz Music, Reading, where her interest in music blossomed, and at Boscov’s, where she made many longtime friends. Her true passion came as a homemaker, raising her two sons with great care.

Celeste always enjoyed the outdoors, especially the beach at Ocean City, NJ with her family in the summertime. But she also loved family time during the Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays.

Celeste is survived by her sons: Michael, husband of Terry, Royersford; and Thomas, husband of Karla, Mohrsville. Also surviving is a brother Michael Kushmore, Yardley, two grandchildren: Amy and Cydney Lawrence, five great grandchildren and two nieces.

She was predeceased by a brother, Raymond “Biff” Kushmore on October 18, 2018

A public graveside service will be held Thursday, November 29 at 10:00am at Fairview Cemetery, Shillington.
