Obituary for Ann P. Van Strander

Ann P. Van Strander, 99, of Upper Tulpehocken Township, passed away, Wednesday, December 12, 2018, in Manor Care, Lebanon.

Ann was the wife of Roger C. Van Strander who died September 19, 2018. They were married for 78 years this past October.

Born in Rockaway, NJ, she was the daughter of the late George and Julia (Hrosko) Hric.

Ann was employed as a press operator for many years at RCA Records.

In 1985, she and her husband came to Pennsylvania to help her daughter and son-in-law develop their new business, PA. DUTCH CAMPGROUND, in Bernville. For approximately 28 years, Ann and Roger became the backbone of the overall campground operations. Ann served primarily as the office manager.

Upon retirement, she and Roger enjoyed campground activities and friendships that were formed over the years.

Ann's survivors include two children: Carolee A. widow of Robert J. Powell, Bernville; and Roger J. Van Strander, Jr., husband of Lynn Woodhall Van Strander, Vernon, NJ. Other survivors include: grandchildren, Darrell J. Powell, Newton, NJ, Scot J. Powell, Bernville, PA, James Van Strander, Vienna, VA, and Jill Van Strander, Vernon, NJ., great-grandchildren, Zack Powell Fisher, Newton, NJ., Bailey, Bella and Breona Fair, all of Bernville, PA, and Robert Powell, Newton, NJ., great-great grandchildren, Madeline Fritz, Vernon, NJ, and Malcolm Van Strander, Vienna, VA.
