Obituary for Dolores B. McGinn
Dolores “Sis” McGinn, 89, formerly of Morgantown, PA passed away peacefully on December 21, 2018 at Mifflin Center.
She was the widow of Martin F. McGinn, Jr.; they were married on June 20, 1953 at St. Stanislaus Church in Shamokin, PA.
Born in Shamokin, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Julia (Stefanowicz) Galazeski.
She was a graduate of Shamokin High School, and a member of St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church.
Sis had many interests, especially bingo, walking and shopping. Her family and faith were most important in her life.
She is survived by four children: Martin S., husband of Vicki, Elverson; Michael A., Birdsboro; Matthew C., husband of Cheri, Morgantown; and Maureen Boettger, wife of Chip, Garnet Valley. Ten grandchildren and five great-grandchildren also survive her.
Sis was predeceased by three siblings: Frances Wasilewski, Frank Galazeski, and Carl Galazeski.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 27, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Benedict's Roman Catholic Church, 2020 Chestnut Hill Rd. Mohnton, PA 19540. Burial will be in Caernarvon Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 9:00-10:45 a.m. at the church. Contributions may be made to the church at the above address.
