Obituary for Frances M Shollenberger (Fleagle)
Frances M. Shollenberger passed away peacefully January 13, 2019, with her family around her, in the home in which she was born.
Frances M. (Fleagle) Shollenberger, age 86, was the daughter of Ray and Margaret (Motes) Fleagle.
She was the wife of Ray H. Shollenberger who passed on October 27, 2006.
Frances was a 1950 graduate of Hamburg Area High School. She enjoyed field hockey, basketball, and debate clubs.
Our family was blessed with a devoted Christian mother, caregiver, and homemaker. She worked as an AT&T Bell Telephone operator, Pharmacy Assistant at Adams and Bright, and Bookkeeper for the F&F Sporting Goods in Hamburg. Frances retired from Hamburg Center in the personnel department after working the switchboard there for many years.
Foremost she loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grand children. Always a Cowboys and Phillies fan, she enjoyed bowling, playing BINGO, and day trips to the casino.
Frances is survived by a daughter; Linda Dunkle; and four sons; Barry, wife Elizabeth; Allen, wife Vicki; Bruce; and Paul, wife Megan. Ten grandchildren, and five great grandchildren also survive her.
In addition to her husband, Frances was predeceased by three siblings: Ray Fleagle, Jr., Dorothy Schminkey, and Robert Fleagle.
