Obituary for Jerry J. Becker
Jerry J. Becker, 41, passed away Monday, December 3, 2018, in his Hamburg residence.
He was the beloved husband of Mary V. (Caltagirone) Becker.
Born in West Reading, he is the son of Carolyn R. (Heck) Rentschler, Upper Bern Twp., and the late Jerry A. Becker.
Jerry was a 1995 graduate of Hamburg High School.
He was a United States Marine Corps. veteran.
Jerry was the owner/operator of Jerry B's Tattooing, Hamburg, for the past six years, working up until his death.
He was a member of the Hamburg Game Association where he currently served as a Director and was a member of Hamburg APA eight and nine ball league. Jerry was also a member of VFW Post 216. Wagner-Good Post Hamburg, Hamburg Moose Lodge # 523, and Our Town Foundation. He was very instrumental at coordinating "Hometown Hero's Flags" in Hamburg and had a Marine Toys for Tots Foundation drop off at his place of business.
In addition to his wife and mother, Jerry is survived by a sister, Lora L., wife of Troy Boyer, Temple; a niece Cynthia, and two step children: Alexis A. (Hahn), wife of Darren Graboskie, Florida, and Timothy D. Hahn, Philadelphia.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, December 11, 2018, at 7 p.m., at Burkey and Driscoll Funeral Home, 40 South 4th Street, Hamburg, PA 19526. A visitation will be held two hours prior to the service in the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Marine Toys for Tots Foundation, Gift Processing Administrator, 18251 Quantico Gateway Drive, Triangle, VA 22172.
