Obituary for Jacqueline P. Meiran

Jacqueline P.  Meiran
Jacqueline P. (Baragone) Meiran, 77, died June 6, 2017, in her Shillington residence surrounded by her loving family.

Her husband, William R. Meiran Sr., died October 26, 2013.

Born in Reading, she was a daughter of the late Guiseppi and Eva (Pelliccotti) Baragone.

She was a 1957 graduate of Reading High School.

Jacqueline was employed by the Wyomissing Area School District as a cook/manager retiring after 31 years of service.

She volunteered for Mifflin Area Library and numerous church events. Jacqueline also worked at the election polls. She enjoyed hosting family gatherings, serving breakfast to anyone who stopped in during the Shillington Memorial Day Parade, and her community days fireworks picnic.

She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church, Mohnton.

Jacqueline is survived by two children: Kathy L., wife of Kenneth P. Allwein, Fleetwood and Cynthia A., wife of Jonathan D. Barnes, Birdsboro; three siblings: Ora Koch, Shillington, Miriam DeStasio, Missouri, and Sandra Svitana, Whitehall; and four grandchildren: William R., III, husband of Megan Meiran, Joshua P. Allwein, fiancé of Jillian S. Cline, Tyler A. Allwein, fiancé of Emily L. Spayd and Rachel A. Barnes. One great-granddaughter, Sofia L. Allwein and one daughter-in-law, Denise M. Meiran also survive her.

She was predeceased by her son, William R. Meiran Jr. and four siblings: Eugene Baragone; Patricia Luckenbill; Rose Green and Anna Raffanelli.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Calvary United Methodist Church, 1 W Wyomissing Ave, Mohnton, PA 19540. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be made to Calvary U.M. Church at the above address or Mifflin Community Library, 6 Philadelphia Ave, Shillington, PA 19607. Edward J.
